Cardiff Food & Drink Festival 2023
Cardiff’s Food and Drink Festival returns to Cardiff Bay between 7 – 9 July.
Roald Dahl Plass will host one of the city’s most popular events and we can get you there easily so you can enjoy what the event has to offer.
Buses to and from Cardiff Bay
Below are a list of routes to and from Cardiff Bay. Find the best route for you then view our timetables here.
If you’re travelling from elsewhere in Cardiff or the Vale, hop on your local Cardiff Bus route and buy a day ticket for use on connecting buses, or use our convenient Tap On and Tap Off system.
Baycar
Catch any of our services to the city centre then connect to our baycar (service 6). This service runs between St Mary Street (outside the entrance to Wyndham Arcade) to Roald Dahl every 15 minutes during the daytime and every 30 minutes during the evening.
On Saturday and Sunday we will use double deck buses on this route for extra capacity and a grandstand view on your journey to the Bay. We will also have some extra buses on standby to make sure everyone can get to the Bay by bus!
Buy a day ticket on the first bus you board or ton our app for unlimited journeys in the day.
Services 1 & 2
These circular routes offer a direct service from different parts of the city, including Canton, Western Avenue, Tremorfa and Roath. Hop off the bus at Mermaid Quay for the Roald Dahl Plass.
Service 5
This service runs between the Sports Village and Cardiff Bay Monday - Saturday
Service 8
This cross-city route runs from the Heath Hospital to Cardiff Bay via Whitchurch Road, City Road, the city centre and Grangetown.
Service 99
This summer special runs between Cardiff city centre and Penarth Pier via Cardiff Bay, ideal for those who wish to visit the Food and Drink Festival from Penarth.
